South Carolina Treasure and Artifact Association MinutesAugust 24, 2010

The SCTAA met on August 23, 2010, with 30 in attendance including a new visitor - Chris Donnelly and a return visitor - Charles Roache.

Randy reported on the Myrtle Beach trip that 11 members were able to participate in.Everyone found either gold or silver jewelry and enjoyed the fellowship.Guest speaker, Any Sabisch, was very informative and graciously sold books at bargain prices and donated a number of books to the club.Randy also shared his good experience of selling gold and silver to scrap metal dealer - ARA

located in Texas.

Upcoming date:October 23 - Lake Lure Annual Hunt & Cookout We are collecting and have received 11 hunt fees at $30 so far.It was announced that hunt fees need to be paid by the Sept. meeting so we can purchase the hunt coins and get all preparations completed.

July treasury ended with $879.31.We collected Raffle - $94, Donation Can - $21,tee-shirt sale - $15, Hunt fees - 330.00.Closing balance is $1,339.31.

Roy Evans won the silver dollar coin raffle.Our next meeting will be August 23, 2010.
