South Carolina Treasure and Artifact Association MinutesJuly 26, 2010
The SCTAA met on July 26, 2010, with 27 in attendance including 5 visitors and our guest speaker, Ken Henkel.Ken was invited to speak by former member Dave Packardwho thought we would all enjoy hearing him.Ken Henkel's program was an interesting talk about his metal detecting experiences ranging from his home area of Maryland to hunting opportunities in England to the Treasure Coast of Florida where he now lives. He assured us artifacts can still be found on the Treasure Coast occasionally (though it is harder now than it was a few years ago to find treasure).I think everyone enjoyed his talk and the numerous photos and items he displayed.Ken also graciously donated about eight prizes that were given away by a drawing of tickets.
