The SCTAA met on April 26, 2010, with 32 in attendance.One new member joined: Doug Byrd (brought in by Greg Modzel) .The motivational program, The Perks of Metal Detecting, was presented by Robert Weaver.
Doug Harrison, Harold Bell, Chris Phillips and Randy Reece manned a booth at the Easley Spring Fling on April 10 to promote our hobby.They displayed finds made in the upstate area and talked to a large number of folks and handed out almost 30 copies of our info. letter.
Upcoming dates:Myrtle Beach Trip - August 14-21;Lake Lure Hunt - October 23 or 30 (2nd choice).
We asked everyone to pray for Wayne Beddingfield, who is battling cancer on his spine.Wayne was present Monday night and feeling okay so far.
March treasury ended with $511.81.We collected Raffle - $110, Donation Can - $13,2010 Memberships - $25.Closing balance is $659.81.
Tony Pannell won the silver dollar coin raffle.Our next meeting will be May 24, 2010.
