South Carolina Treasure and Artifact Association Minutes November 23, 2009
The SCTAA met on November 23, 2009 with 30 in attendance. The program was presented by Robert Weaver who explained cleaning methods and displayed some of the equipment he uses to clean coins and relics. Then Clem McNure shared interesting information about his recent trip to metal detect civil war sites with the Digging in Virginia group. We appreciated the useful information each man shared.
We have set the date for our Annual Awards Banquet for January 11, 2010 at 7 p.m. at Ryan's Steak House in Greer.
October treasury ended with $1,473.21. We spent $204 to finish purchasing coins for next year's contests. We collected Raffle - $89, Donation Can - $11.25, 2010 Memberships - $250. The treasury ends with $1,619.46. Ryleigh Mahaffee won the silver dollar raffle. Our next meeting will be January 25, 2010.
